I focus on simplifying your health plan. I believe that by developing an individualized recovery strategy you will get your best results.
My personal mission is to educate and inspire as many families as possible to live full, active and long lives. I am the creator of the 100+Living Plan and teach the principles of how healthy neurology leads to longevity and superior health. Our 100+Living philosophy gives you the strategies to build health consistently and effectively throughout your life, not only during a health crisis.
Recently I became certified in Chiropractic BioPhysics, which is a rare designation for a Canadian Chiropractor to attain. I also hold a membership with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
If you’re going to trust me with your health, I believe I had better bring my “A” game.
I’d love to introduce you and your family to one of the best kept secrets in health care today, todays chiropractic. It’s safe and effective and when it’s done well, it can totally transform your families life.
Dr. Jenkins studied at the University of Western Ontario in London Ontario for his biology degree. His field of study covered genetics, biochemistry and advanced cellular biology. Not the “normal” route to a doctor of Chiropractic. He then went on to study at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic in Toronto, received the Erica J Langer award for research excellence and then went on to study a further 3 years of Sports Chiropractic.
Even after his formal education was completed he continues to work in practical clinical research to promote the benefits of chiropractic for all.
After practicing for 14 years Dr. Jenkins sold his private practice in Ontario and moved to the beautiful Okanagan.
From 2012 to 2017 Dr. Jenkins worked in conjunction with Carleton University (Ottawa, Ontario) advancing the development of patient/doctor communication. Currently Dr. Jenkins is actively involved with research in spinal and neurological correction through a US based research team, Chiropractic BioPhysics NonProfit. He is working to partner this US based research with the UBCO Human Kinetics Department beginning early 2019.
Dr. Jenkins opened Lighthouse Chiropractic in the Landmark District of Kelowna in 2009 and expanded to welcome massage therapy and naturopathic medicine in 2018. His goal at Lighthouse is to provide effective, scientific and research based care to the Okanagan.
In addition to coaching and mentoring chiropractors, massage therapists and other health professionals, he speaks to corporate groups, municipalities and non profits on how to deal effectively with stress and maximize life and health.

I recently moved to Kelowna with my wife Dominique after studying abroad at the New Zealand Chiropractic College. I love drumming, skiing, fitness, photography, and I’m a 2009 graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster. During my intense studies overseas, I also became a well-respected teacher at the New Zealand College of Massage and gained a great love for educating the students and sharing my knowledge.
I strive every day to be a hardworking, versatile and passionate Chiropractor who is very excited to serve the community of Kelowna. I want to give everyone the best quality of life through natural methods of healing with my hands. I am deeply inspired by my patients who want to make a change and become the best versions of themselves. I was a competitive athlete and my main sport was football, which I played for 15 years including 3 years at the university level. I also had a serious car accident at 15 years old where I suffered a whiplash-type injury. From my late teens to early 20’s I had about a 7-8 year period of chronic pain. Ongoing daily neck pain, upper back pain, radiating arm pain, and numbness in both of my hands. It progressed to include low back pain, sciatic pain, and unstable shoulders. Every 3-4 months I would have a severe episode where I would not be able to move my neck or do much of anything for days or sometimes weeks. I saw many different health professionals and I liked all of the manual therapies (massage therapy, physio, acupuncture and chiropractic) but nothing offered more than temporary relief. I did not let anything stop me as I was still training at a high level, playing football, studying as a full-time student and even working as a cook on the weekends. My problems were often dismissed by medical professionals as a product of my training and the stresses of being a student. It wasn’t until my 3rd year in university that I finally had x-rays taken and my spine properly assessed by a very thorough chiropractor (the fact that no other doctor recommended x-rays up until that point still boggles my mind). I had a complete loss of the normal curve in my neck and degenerative changes (arthritis) in all three regions of my spine (in my early 20’s). This particular doctor created a lightbulb moment for me, and I could see that many of my health problems were caused by mechanical issues that were impacting my nerves and had developed from the traumas and stresses I had experienced. I finally had HOPE and an Intelligent Gameplan to correct and stabilize my spine. I started to do specific work to correct my spinal structure and function. Very quickly I began to see significant symptomatic improvement. This was enough evidence for me (a 3rd-year Kinesiology student) that I needed to become a chiropractor to learn more, fully correct my spine, and one day help other people find hope and intelligent solutions for their health challenges. I am happy to say that I have maintained my improved/corrected spinal structure and function now for over 20 years.

I am originally from northern British Columbia but decided to live in Kelowna after graduating with my undergraduate degree. I graduated with a Human Kinetic degree from the University of British Columbia - Okanagan. I have always been into fitness, health, and motivation. From a young age, I have always stayed active. I was a figure skater for over 10 years. At the end of high school, I fell in love with training in the gym. I helped train friends and family whenever I could and realized that I wanted to learn more about the health and fitness industry.
During my Human Kinetics degree, I had the opportunity to train numerous people who had chronic diseases. I trained individuals who survived a stroke, individuals that had prostate cancer, and individuals with osteoporosis. This training inspired me to entertain the clinical route of my degree. I aspire to rehabilitate people through exercise. I truly believe that exercise can do no harm and can improve all conditions that the human body has to face.
Outside of the clinic, I love to travel and am always willing to go on adventures. I have been all around the globe! I have seen the blue lagoons in Iceland, visited family in Amsterdam, lived in Australia, and even ran a marathon on the great wall of China!
I am excited to work with you and create the best version of yourself!
